Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) will be hosting a free webinar on ‘The Impact of 5G on fiber requirements’. The webinar will take place on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2 PM EST. Comsof will be a part of the presentation team.
Kevin Wynne, Manager, Americas, Comsof
Joe Jensen, Americas FTTH Market Development Manager, Corning Cable systems
You can register for the webinar here.
This webinar will review what 5G network deployments might look like, in addition to the key variables to consider in their design. We will discuss the factors which have the largest impact on the cost of a deployment and examine how much fiber is required to implement a future-proof 5G deployment.
Hypothetical 5G deployment scenarios (5G fixed vs. 5G mobility, Aerial vs. buried, fiber lean vs. fiber rich, etc.) will be described and we will review key factors impacting the fiber needs for 5G radios (CPRI vs Ethernet, fronthaul vs. mid-haul vs. backhaul, future impact of massive MIMO)
